Who Pays for Hospice Care?

Hospice care is a covered benefit under many private insurance plans, including HMO's and managed care organizations.  In addition, hospice is a covered Medicare benefit, and in Colorado and neighboring states it is a covered Medicaid Benefit.

While the majority of our patients are on Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurance, no patient is ever denied services due to an ability to pay.

It is our policy to never discriminate.  Any person who meets the hospice admission criteria will be served.

Generous contributions from members of the Four Corners community, and support from our Board of Directors, allow us to provide services to people in need on a no cost or sliding fee scale basis.
